Case Studies

An international bank retained the services of TransWest immediately upon being notified by a governmental regulatory agency that its debtor, a savings and loan, had been seized and reported insolvent; a potential eight figure loss to our client.

TransWest identified a holding company owned by the principle of the seized savings and loan, determining that unbeknownst to federal bank regulators, funds had been fraudulently diverted from the savings and loan to the principle's holding company.  Due to this discovery, TransWest's client suffered no loss.

A major private equity funding company was approached by a well-known principle of a service organization seeking letters of credit in the medium seven figures.  Through a due diligence investigation of the principle, TransWest discovered a prior offense of embezzlement and fraud, committed over 2,000 miles from his home state, resulting in state prison incarceration.  This discovery saved our client not only substantial monies, but potential liabilities resulting from performance guarantees extended to underwriters for the entity's upcoming IPO.

Prior to accepting policy limits, an attorney/client requested TransWest to conduct a basic financial report which he believed would substantiate his position to accept policy limits.  TransWest identified numerous financial holdings, thus our attorney/client was pleased, knowing not to accept policy limits on behalf of its client.

A publicly held, high-tech manufacturer was surprised to find that their well compensated Chief Operating Officer was expressing dissatisfaction with his employ.  TransWest revealed that this COO was in the process of forming a competitive firm, had already obtained financing and entered into a commercial lease.  TransWest's findings resulted in this manufacturer's counsel succeeding in enforcing the existing non-compete contract.
